Is it safe?
Extremely. A DEXA scan uses 1/1000th of the radiation in a standard chest X-ray — about the background radiation on a cross-country flight, or eating four bananas.
How accurate is DEXA?
DEXA is the clinical 'Gold Standard,' used by elite athletic programs and medical clinics. It has a measurement error rate of less than 1-2%.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without metal zippers, buttons, or underwire. Athletic wear like leggings or gym shorts is perfect.
Do I need a referral?
Nope! We've got you covered - call and ask.
Is it HSA/FSA eligible?
